BeCyberSure Appoints Chief PR to Place Cyber Security on the SME Boardroom Agenda

LONDON, 22nd SEPTEMBER 2016BeCyberSure today announced that it has enlisted the services of Chief PR – a media relations company specialising in physical and information security. Working with BeCyberSure, the consultancy will help protect and educate owners, directors and senior managers including human resource (HR) departments of SME organisations, regarding the importance of risk management and proportionate security, in the face of increasingly sophisticated attacks, new legislation and tighter regulation.

The appointment of Chief PR is the latest addition to the BeCyberSure team that has recently recruited Kevin Smith and Tim Watts OBE as Senior Advisors. Chief PR is based on the South Coast and represents security-focused organisations and associations including Authlogics, EEMA, Qognify and TDSi it is also an event partner of the Information Security Solutions Europe (ISSE) conference.

Marketing Director of BeCyberSure, Carolyn Harrison, states: “Increasingly SMEs are being targeted as the weak link in the supply chain. Whilst new regulation such as GDPR does not distinguish between small and large organisations.” Harrison continues: “SME business leaders often do not understand the threats and ramifications of not having proportionate security, assuming that it is an IT issue. Working with Chief PR we will help to place cyber security on the agenda of those most able to make a difference.”
